Associació Programes Educatius Open Europe

The Association of Educational Services “OpenEurope” is a non-profit organization based in Reus (Catalonia, Spain) that aims to help young people and adults working in youth-related fields to participate in European programs. All the projects and initiatives of our organisation aim to involve educators, teachers, professors, students and the whole community in the implementation of projects and programs that seek a lifelong learning process. Our programs are designed to develop participants’ communication, leadership and professional skills.

In addition, we pay special attention to strengthening the capacity of non-governmental organisations and the volunteers who work to solve social problems. We help involve all members of the community in our projects and activities, especially in the areas of civic responsibility, immigration, technology serving people, or smart cities.

The Republic of North Macedonia

Republic of Macedonia Goce Delcev State University Stip

Goce Delcev University in Stip is a state university, ranked in second place in the rankings of state universities in the country. As a new and energetic institution of higher education, which constantly follows the interests of the young population, as well as the newest economic, industrial, and technological trends, we create exquisite opportunities for higher education. Our mission is to create and transfer knowledge for providing social and economic well-being and progress of society, preparing students for professions in which the application of scientific discoveries and professional knowledge, cultural and language diversity, promotion of technological development, development of arts.

Goce Delcev University of Stip has implemented various IT solutions that help the education process run smoothly and up to date with the newest trends in education in the world. UGD has implemented an Electronic Learning Centre that is responsible for the promotion and implementation of modern tools for learning at the university, new technologies (interactive whiteboards, graphic whiteboards, multimedia software, and hardware, audio-visual equipment, etc.).

The Republic of North Macedonia

Municipality Primary School Ilinden

Municipal primary school “Ilinden” is one of the two primary schools in the city of Kriva Palanka. It was founded in 1996, and got its name after the Ilinden Rebellion. About 600 students study in the school, and the teaching is realised by about 60 teachers.

The school offers a stimulating and creative learning environment, through the application of modern teaching methods, tools and educational technologies. For students with special needs, the school has a Sensory Room in which these students are facilitated to stay and study. Together with the teachers this helps them to realise their maximum potential.

Students regularly participate in various competitions, events and contests, where they receive numerous awards. The school carries out activities from several projects for professional development of teachers, interethnic integration, school safety, developing critical thinking among students, inclusion of students with disabilities, reducing school-related inequality in family poverty.

Cyprus

Kypriaki Mathimatiki Etaireia

The Cyprus Mathematical Society (CY.M.S.) is a non-for-profit organisation established in Cyprus since 1983. The Cyprus Math Society is managed and developed by volunteering work of its members. Its purposes are to promote Mathematics Education and Science. It’s a member of the European Mathematical Society (EMS) and a founding member of the Mathematical Society of South Eastern Europe (MASSEE).

CY.M.S. publishes several books for teachers and students and the scientific journal “Mediterranean Journal for Research in Mathematics Education”.

CY.M.S. participates in many European funded projects, either as a coordinator or as a partner.

Romania

Scoala Gimnaziala Ion Agarbiceanu Alba Iulia

We are a Secondary School in Alba Iulia, in the middle of Romania, with about 700 students, aged between 6 and 15. It’s a public school having around 40 teachers. The school has 28 classrooms equipped with video projectors and laptops. 

Our school has participated in other Comenius and Erasmus Projects, and the children are open-minded in trying new methods of learning. The projects were based on having a healthy life, Comenius 2012-2014, or the difficulties for students with learning difficulties and career orientation, Erasmus-Schools Of Success. The teachers involved in these projects have the necessary qualifications and they are eager to find new method of captivating the students in the learning process.

Croatia

Osnovna skola Vodice

Osnovna Škola Vodice is an elementary school located in Vodice, Croatia, on the Adriatic coast. 

There are around 730 students and 60 teachers in our school. 

Our aim is to provide our students with the best general education possible, as well as to give them opportunities to evolve through sports, music, art and STEM. Through projects and activities we aim at involving our staff, teachers and students in the process of lifelong learning, as well as improving communication and digital skills, becoming aware of the ecology’s importance and accepting and understanding cultural and social differences.

Spain

Institut Julio Antonio

Julio Antonio is a public Secondary School located in the municipality of Móra d’Ebre, in the north-east of Spain, in the autonomous community of Catalonia, next to the Ebre river. The school has about 70 staff (57 are teachers) and serves a population of about 510 students. Most of the students come from small villages nearby. 

We provide different types of education: Secondary Compulsory Education (11 to 16 years), Pre-university courses (16 to 18 years), Vocational Training and Higher Education (16 to 18 years). 

Our school is placed in a rural environment, where agriculture and livestock are the main sources of income and rural-urban migration is gradually growing.
